Story
Hello all. This blog is devoted to keeping you posted on the development of our short animated film, What We're Playin' For.
Here's a quick run down of the story:
10 year old Hubert walks the streets of the industrialised, cement jungle that is his home town. Crowds of nondescript suits fill the walkways as they monotonously march their way to work. A man in the crowd exhales the fumes from his cigar. Hubert walks behind him and is smothered by the trailing smoke. As he chokes and coughs, he push his way out of the masses in hopes of some fresh air. Hubert regains his composure but before he makes his way back into the crowed he notices a girl, no older then himself, playing basketball. The concept of fun doesn't exist in this town but as intrigued as he is by this simple game, Hubert struggles to break the conventional mould of society that binds him to a life of dull repetitiveness.
